Jak podłączyć echosondę?

Odpowiedź: Please see Military Grade Owner’s Manual.

How do I pair my FishHunter with my smartphone/tablet?

Odpowiedź: The steps are: Step 1: Ensure your fishfinder is fully charged by following the charging instructions above. Step 2: Place your sonar into water.  You will see that the sonar’s red lights are blinking fast and eventually stay lit to indicate that the sonar is “waking up.” If the red light is not on, the sonar is OFF. Step 3: Open the FishHunter app. If this is the first time you have opened the app, you will need to login. Please login. If you have already logged in, then please go to the bottom menu and select sonar by pressing on the fish icon labeled “Sonar” Step 4: Select the “PAIR FISHHUNTER” option. Please note that the app may prompt you to turn on your Bluetooth. You should do so before you continue this process. Step 5: The app will scan for available FishHunter fishfinders within blue tooth range. This step may have to be repeated a few times depending on your phone or tablet. Once your phone finds the FishHunter, it will populate the app with the device name and number.  Select your FishHunter hardware by pressing on the screen where you see the name listed. After the pairing is complete your FishHunter will appear on the “PAIR SONARS” list. Step 6: Click on your fishfinder name and our app will open the “Sonar Setting” screen. The “Sonar Settings” screen will allow you to change the settings to your preference.

Why is my phone not pairing with the sonar?

Odpowiedź: There could be a number of reasons that it will not pair with the FishHunter sonar: 1. Is the battery in the sonar fully charged? You can tell by placing the sonar back onto your charging base and plugging in the USB chord into the USB charging source. The red light on the charging base should be on, which indicates its charging. You will also notice that the top of the sonar will turn yellow when the sonar is charging. The sonar is fully charged when the light located in the “cone” of the sonar turns green. 2. The sonar light is green but it still won’t pair with my phone/tablet? Ensure that the sonar is in water that is more than 4 inches deep. Open your phone and go back into the bluetooth set-up menu Ensure that your phone is in bluetooth pairing mode, and can been both “seen and found”. AND bluetooth is turned ON. Ensure that you can see other bluetooth devices in the area of your phone. If you cannot see any other bluetooth items or connect with another bluetooth device, your bluetooth is not working. Still does not pair? Contact us here.

What is FISH VIEW?

Answer: FISH VIEW is our custom view where we take the RAW sonar data and redraw it on the screen in a more simplified manner. Specifically, we remove the surface reverb and draw a more simplified bottom so that you get a nice clean water column. Whenever the sonar reads a disturbance in the water column, we draw a fish icon on the screen at the position where we see that disturbance. In addition, we will then have your phone make a sonar “ping” whenever fish are found. This makes it easy for you to see and hear when there are fish under your FishHunter sonar. You can toggle between RAW DATA and FISH VIEW by pressing on the right side menu button. You will see that there is an option there to choose RAW DATA or FISH VIEW. Please also read how to use your sliders to get the best possible experience in FISH VIEW.

What is RAW DATA view?

Odpowiedź: RAW DATA view applies to both the FishHunter Military Grade sonar’s default view and Ice Fishing view. When in those views, you can pull out the right side menu and select RAW DATA view. In this view, you get to see the actual results or data from the transducers in your FishHunter sonar. As you can see on the screen when in this view mode, you have a thick or thin band of color at the top of the screen, a thick band of color at the bottom of the screen, then a blue section in the middle. Darker colors indicate more dense material. So when you see those colors on the bottom, you know that the darker the color the more dense the material.

What is Surface Reverb and the Surface Filter slider?

Odpowiedź: Surface Reverb is the reaction of the sound wave from your sonar and the surface of the water. Your FishHunter portable sonar measures how long it takes a sound wave to travel in/across water. When the sound wave from your FishHunter come in contact with bubbles on the water surface, it will impact how long and if at all the sounds waves are returns to the sonar. This is why you get a thick dark line on the top of your display. When the water is very calm, the surface reverb can be very small(thin). When there is a lot of wind or boat traffic, the surface reverb can be very thick.

What is the Surface Filter slider?

Odpowiedź: Because surface reverb can vary widely based on local conditions, we have provided you with a Surface Filter Slider. This slider/filter gives you the chance to customize/localize the amount of the surface area you would like the FishHunter to ignore when searching for fish. As you move the slider from left to right, you can see that the number on the right increases. That number, say 5ft, is where the FishHunter will start to look for fish from the surface. So in that example, if you set the slider to 5ft, your FishHunter will not look for fish in the first 5ft of the water. Your objective is to set that slider in a position where the number you see on the right side of the screen matches where the thick dark line on your phone screen ends when it is in RAW DATA mode. That will make sure that your FishHunter is looking for fish as close to the surface as possible without mistakenly telling you that air bubbles are fish.

What does the Fish Sensitivity slider do?

Odpowiedź: This slider is used to allow you to adjust what size of disturbance is required before your FishHunter will present a fish on the screen of your tablet/phone. The less sensitive you set the slider, the larger the fish needs to be before the FishHunter will present it on the screen. If you move it to the far left position, you will be turning OFF the fish detection.

My sonar is broken, what do I do?

Odpowiedź: Contact us and let us know what happened so we can see if we can replace it under your warranty. If not, you can go to our store to order a replacement.

I lost the charging base, what do I do?

Odpowiedź: Please go to our web store where you can buy additional accessories including charging bases.

How do I know if my sonar is charging?

Odpowiedź: You will notice that a red light appears on the charging base which means that the base has power and is ready to charge the sonar. When the sonar is attached to the charging base, the sonar body will lit up yellow while charging is in progress. This light will turn green when the charging is complete.

How do a clean my sonar. Do I need to?

Odpowiedź: Take a damp cloth and wipe the sonar free of dirty and or grit. The rubber casing is also removable, to access the inner core of the Sonar but should not need to be removed unless the unit has gotten significantly dirty. Most of the time you only need to dry the charger before placing it in the charging base. Continuous placement of the sonar in the charging base without drying it will cause the charging base to be damaged.

My base station got wet, what do I do?

Odpowiedź: Do not plug the charging base in until it is completely dry. Make sure that the Sonar is properly dried before placing it back.

Can I use my iPhone charger to charge the sonar?

Odpowiedź: Your iPhone charger will not fit into the mini USB port on the charger base, you can however use any Mini USB charger to power the sonar. Plug it into any computer with a USB port, or use our AC wall and boat/car charger to recharge your sonar.

Can I use any USB charger?

Odpowiedź: Any USB charger will work to power your sonar. USB 2.0 will charge it at a faster rate, but any type of USB will charge the sonar.

Can I pair my sonar with my friends phone if he has the app?

Answer: Yes, your sonar will work with any Bluetooth compatible smart phone that has the app.

Why doesn’t FishHunter work at 6 feet depth?

Odpowiedź: The sonar has a beam angle of 16 degrees. At 6 feet, the 2 dimensional area that the sonar can detect fish in is only 5 square feet so the fish must swim right underneath the sonar to be detected. The algorithms are designed to get more and more accurate with depth and we specify 6 feet as the minimum. At 6 feet, the fish detecting algorithm requires that the fish be at least 10 inches from the surface and 10 inches off the bottom.

Can the display toggle to typical sonar displays?

Odpowiedź: Yes, the app has Raw Data mode that shows the raw output of the sonar.

Why can’t my sonar work in a tank like I’ve seen in your trade show demo?

Odpowiedź: The sonar is not designed for a fish tank. The sonar you bought is not the same one you saw at the trade show. The trade show sonars were specially made with their volumes turned way down so they could work in a tank. The sonar you have is too powerful to work in a fish tank.

What is the transmitting power of the unit in watts (RMS)?

Odpowiedź: The transmitted power depends on the depth it finds or the range the sonar is manually set to.

What are the transmission frequencies?

Odpowiedź: The sonar operates at 381kHz. It is a higher frequency than other comparable products because it allows us to produce a much clearer image, especially at the lower depths. Also the sonar has a beam angle of 16 degrees at 3dB and 22 degrees at 6dB.

Why can’t I connect my sonar when I place it in my ice fishing hole?

Odpowiedź: Please check your Bluetooth settings, make sure Bluetooth is “ON” and make sure the sonar is paired with your device. If the sonar is not listed as paired, then please follow the “Bluetooth Pairing Instruction” page to correctly pair your sonar. Make sure your sonar is turned on by taking the sonar out of the hole, drying the bottom and then place it back into the hole.

For ice fishing, why does my sonar disconnect shortly after being connected to the sonar?

Odpowiedź: You will need to clear the ice debris from the opening of your hole as it is interfering with the sonars auto off/on functions. Once that is done, the sonar should function properly.

How can I ZOOM in to see more detail on the sonar display?

Odpowiedź: There are a number of times when you will want to look more closely at the sonar display on your phone to look at the bottom area OR review the top area of the sonar data to look for fish or other specific artifacts. There is a have built in a ZOOM feature in the FishHunter app that you can use anytime you are in the sonar portion of the app, and reviewing RAW sonar data. To access this ZOOM feature, all you need to do is “pinch” the screen with your fingers (whenever you see RAW Data) and then open your fingers slowly while they are touching the screen. Note: this is the same way you would ZOOM IN on a picture within your phone/tablet now in your phone camera role or using Facebook. Notice that when you are Zooming IN/OUT, the scale on the right/left side in the sonar reading section will also change to match the Zoom level you have chosen. As you are zoom in the scale will increase and as you zoom out it will decrease. You will probably need to move the screen around after you have ZOOMED it, to get to the place on the screen that you would like to focus on. To do that, just take your finger and “scroll” the screen to move the screen up and down to get to the correct position. To ZOOM OUT, you can just pinch the screen again but move your fingers towards each other instead of away from each other.

How do I know if my sonar is charging?

Odpowiedź: You will notice that a yellow light on the outside of the sonar when you plug in the charing cord and then plug the cord into a USB charging device. Keep looking in the sonar section of the app to see the battery indictor level. In order to see the battery level indicator, you will need to have the sonar in the water and connected to your phone/tablet.

What do all the flashing lights mean on the top of the sonar?

Odpowiedź: One solid red and one (faintly) blinking green means it’s ready to go. Any flashing red light means you should turn your wifi on and off (the sonar is waiting for a connection). A flashing Amber light means it’s communicating (it’s running one of the fishing modes).

Can I use my iPhone charger to charge the sonar?

Odpowiedź: Yes, you can use any USB charger to charge the FishHunter.

Can I use any USB charger?

Odpowiedź: Yes, you can use any USB charger to charge the FishHunter. A USB 2 charger would be best but it will not matter, just take slightly longer to get full charge.

Can I pair my sonar with my friends phone if he has the app?

Odpowiedź: Yes, you can use the Fishhunter with more than one tablet or phone. But, only one tablet or phone can be paired with the FishHunter at a time. This means, you have to be sure that the phones and tablets around the FH have their WIFI turned off if they are NOT going to be connected to your FH. The FH is set to auto connect to the last tablet/phone it was connected to, so that is connects quickly when it gets disconnected. This means that it will always be trying to find the last device it was connected to BEFORE, it will look for a new connection. We offer you two ways to “reset” or “release” the FH from your phone/tablet to allow someone esle to connect to it. Option 1- take the FH out of the water, turn off the WIFI of the device that it has been connected to, plug the charging cord into the bottom of the FH and then pull it out. This will reset the FH. Now turn on the WIFI of the phone or tablet you would like to connect to the FH and follow the regular connection steps. Option 2- on the app screen there will be a “Release” button. While connected to the FH, and while the FH is in range of your phone/tablet, hit that “release” button and follow the steps in your app. IOS and andriod are slightly different process’s but each must be followed carefully for you to have success.in disconnecting your FH and reconnecting to a new device.

What is the minimum depth the FH will work in?

Odpowiedź: The minimum depth can vary, but we have tested is in 1.4ft (0.4m) of water and have had good results.

What is FISH VIEW?

Answer: FISH VIEW is our custom view where we take the RAW sonar data and redraw it on the screen in a more simplified manner for quick and easy access. Specifically, we remove the surface reverb and draw a more simplified bottom so that you get a nice clean water column. Whenever the sonar reads a disturbance in the water column, we draw a fish icon (there are 3 sizes) on screen at the position where we saw that disturbance. This makes it easy for you to see and hear when there are fish under your FishHunter™ PRO sonar. In addition, you can have your phone make a sonar “ping” whenever fish are found beneath your FishHunter™ PRO so you don’t have to look at your phone at all.

What is RAW VIEW?

Odpowiedź: RAW VIEW produces actual results from the powerful Tri-Frequency Transducer in real time. In this mode, you become an instant expert, interpreting the different coloured lines at the bottom of the screen to see depth and structure while watching for disturbances in the water column to locate fish. This powerful hands on view gives you everything you need to rapidly identify and catch more fish. Fish are identified as “arches” of color in the water column or near the bottom depending on their location.

When ice fishing I get some odd readings from the sonar when it is sitting in my ice hole?

Odpowiedź: Please make sure that you have removed the ice debris from your ice hole as that can interfere with the sonar signal. In addition, you can adjust the sonar power slider AND the surface reverb to get the best possible results when using the FishHunter sonar for ice fishing.

What does the Power Slider do ?

Odpowiedź: While in ice fishing mode, the Power Slider feature of the FishHunter™ PRO allows you to adjust the gain and pulsewith quickly and easily. The FishHunter PRO does not know the thickness of the ice, giving you the ability to adjust the power you want to use when ice fishing. This higher power will allow you to see your jig more clearly but lead to more surface reverb. Less power will produce minimal surface reverb but less clarity on tracking your jig. (Note: you may need to adjust this setting each time you use your FishHunter™ PRO in a new area.)

How do a clean my sonar? Do I need to?

Odpowiedź: Your sonar is 100% sealed to prevent water leaks and getting dirt inside the unit. The only part that you should clean from time to time, is the charging pins. You will need a tooth brush and just soap and water and you can just brush out of blow out any dirt in the pins.

What are the transmission frequencies?

Odpowiedź: The FishHunter™ PRO works at 3 different frequency levels- 381,475 and 675 kHz.

I lost my charging cord. What can I do?

Odpowiedź: Please go to our web store where you can buy additional accessories including charging cord.

What is the minimum depth the FH will work in?

Odpowiedź: The minimum depth can vary, but we have tested is in 0.4m (1,4 ft) of water and have had good results.

You have different view options but can I just see regular sonar output? Right from the transducers?

Odpowiedź: Yes, you have 4 view options to choose from. If you are trying to get the closest view to a regular installed sonar, you should choose “RAW VIEW” versus “FISH VIEW” and that will show you the actual sonar data. When you choose that view, you are seeing the actual information from each transducer. You cannot see RAW sonar data in bottom mapping or in 3D bottom, because we combine the information from 3 transducers in both those views and therefore it is not possible to seperate out each transducer.(You can access FISH VIEW and RAW VIEW in KIERUNKOWE WYRZUCANIE screen. )

You can toggle between RAW DATA and FISH VIEW in KIERUNKOWE WYRZUCANIE by pressing on the top menu button. You will see that there is an option there to choose RAW DATA or FISH VIEW. Please also read how to use your sliders to get the best possible experience in FISH VIEW.

What is RAW DATA view?

Odpowiedź: RAW DATA view only applies to the KIERUNKOWE WYRZUCANIE and Ice Fishing View. When in these views, you can pull out the top menu and select RAW DATA view.

That will make sure that your FishHunter is looking for fish as close to the surface as possible without mistakenly telling you that air bubbles are fish.

What does the Power Slider do ?

Odpowiedź: While in ice fishing mode, the Power Slider feature of the FishHunter allows you to adjust the gain and pulsewith quickly and easily. The FishHunter does not know the thickness of the ice, giving you the ability to adjust the power you want to use when ice fishing. This higher power will allow you to see your jig more clearly but lead to more surface reverb. Less power will produce minimal surface reverb but less clarity on tracking your jig. (Note: you may need to adjust this setting each time you use your FishHunter in a new area.)

What does the Power Slider do in ice fishing mode?

Odpowiedź: The Power Slider allows you to adjust the gain and pulsewidth for your FishHunter while in ice fishing mode. Because the FishHunter does not know the thickness of the ice for your area, you have the ability to adjust the power that you use when ice fishing. Higher power will allow you to see your jig very clearly but lead to more surface reverb, while less power will lead to minimal surface reverb but less clarity on tracking your jig.

How do a clean my sonar? Do I need to?
